Mikill bass picks

Mikill is old Norse for “great” or “large” in size. I designed this pick style when transitioning from playing the guitar to playing the bass, and found traditional bass picks didn’t suit me.

You can usually find them on my Etsy.

These picks feature a hard, unbevelled back edge (softened during the polishing phase), improving grip.

Hand made from Midnight Corian (a synthetic quartz), measuring approximately 27 mm x 35 mm. This material is a hard plastic which has good edge retention and feels excellent to hold.

Variation — Skarð

One face of these picks is in my new Skarð (meaning scar) finish. This rough, battle worn finish adds an exceptional grip texture to the pick with aggressive attitude. The other face either has a polished rock style texture or a flat polished face with scratches. This style varies dramatically from pick to pick.
